Food Prep Made Easy, Zyliss Chopper & Easy Glide Peeler A Perfect Pair !

Food prep can be tedious and although cooking to me is both a joy, an outlet and just plain fun it would not be so without my Zyliss chopper and easy glide peeler.

It helps that I have my partner peel and chop all veggies and fruit that I toss about with apparent ease.

He helps because he is always munching, hungry, starving and ‘aren’t you cooking today?' So I introduced him to my two favorite tools. The Zyliss Smoothglide Peeler and the Zyliss Food Chopper.

As it turned out he was more than willing to participate and we eventually turned cooking into an entertainment source. Music, choice of beverage, conversation and laughter.

He likes the Zyliss Smoothglide Peeler over and above any other we have around because it works. Simply put, it works well. It gets the job done; doesn’t gouge or waste produce and it fits comfortably in his hand.

But he really loves the chopper! He doesn’t just like it, he loves it. At first he would just bang, bang away but learned quickly that KaPow is not always as good as tap tap.

It doesn’t matter how you tap, just know that the more you tap the smaller the dice. There are some that claim you can’t chop a pepper but I have found that if you place the pepper strips flesh down it does a decent job. You can just slice an onion in half and chop it in the skin, no muss no fuss! Mince garlic, chop nuts for baking, and make bread crumbs out of toasted bread. You name it, it chops it.

Before I found the Zyliss brand I tried a lesser name brand; BIG MISTAKE. My KaPow happy man broke it right away. I looked at another brand and believe me (I’m not superwoman )the blade was so flimsy I bent it in the store, which is where it stayed.

There are a few models available, but all basically consist of a plunger , blade unit and a base/storage container.
